Four Keys to RV Financing
Are you in the market for a new RV? Obtaining a loan is easier now than it has been for several years. RV interest
rates are at an all-time low. If you understand the four key areas that banks look at, we can help you get on the road and find the RV of your dreams.
LENDER GUIDELINES The lending industry has better financing options than a few years ago, but it’s important to
understand that recreational financing is still different than financing a car. As consumers, we often compare the
experience of obtaining a recreational vehicle loan to a car loan, but the actual loan process for financing a RV
typically takes longer than a car loan because the lenders’ credit guidelines are different for a RV versus a car.
Lenders are less likely to approve full-time RVers so make sure you make arrangements [...]
Have you seen the video by Inside Edition about improperly hooking up your trailer? They warn to “Beware” and after watching their video it became evident that maybe our followers need a heads up on the dangers as well. While driving a trailer can be scary and for the first time tower, if you don’t understand the dynamics of towing it can be dangerous, but if you’re cautious and vigilant in your towing set up, it doesn’t have to be so dangerous.
Travel trailers are much safer if you tow with a Sway Control-Equalizer hitch that is set up properly. We always recommend an equalizer hitch, in fact if you’re purchasing your set up through us we won’t set it up without one. It’s an extra expense right up front, usually between $500-$800 but it can save your life and the life of those on the road around you.
Another thing to remember when towing [...]

IMPORTANT RECALL NOTIFICATION
Check your Fire Extinguishers! When is the last time you checked your fire extinguisher? For some of us, the time between checks goes a bit too long and if we’re being honest, some of us can’t even remember if it’s ever been checked. I remember growing up, my Grandmother had an extinguisher behind the seat of her old Datsun pickup, it was always there, in fact, I don’t think it ever moved more or less get checked for efficiency or safety. So, that image has always been in my mind that an extinguisher is good forever. As most of you know, this is a dangerous practice and like anything, it must be kept up, to work when it’s really needed. Standard safety guidelines says you should be having your extinguisher checked by a fire protection equipment company annually, and a complete breakdown and internal inspection must be done every 6 years. Eeek, my poor Grandmother would have never known [...]

Changing your RV tires
When should I do it?How often should I change the tires on my RV?
Well, it’s a great question because some of us don’t use our RV as much as our regular vehicles. So, if it’s just sitting why should I change the tires? Here’s our answer to that. The suggestion from the Manufacturers is that after five years the RV trailer tires should be replaced regardless of the tire appearance or tread depth. You really get about three to five years on your trailer tires, after three years, regardless of how much you use it, one third of the tires life is already gone.
Because we don’t have a magic ball to predict the future, being safe is much better than being sorry. Trailer tires just don’t last like a regular car tire and although it may be a bit expensive to replace your tires, it’s much more expensive to replace a part of your trailer due [...]
