Peterson Industries, manufacturer of Excel 5th wheels, recently announced that they are partnering with RV Armor, Inc. to be the exclusive manufacturer to offer the RV Armor® “Lifetime” roof on new RVs.
Excel’s President, Bryan Tillett, first met RV Armor President, Lee Thaxton at the PRVCA show in Hershey, PA. in September. “At first we were reluctant to offer a new roof that promised to be the next “miracle roof” explained Tillett. “But after meeting Lee and seeing the product being applied first hand, I was convinced RV consumers need a maintenance free roof like this.”
The optional RV Armor® “Lifetime” roof will come with a lifetime warranty, provided by RV Armor, Inc. If the roof should fail, or a water leak occur, RV Armor will not only warranty it, including material and labor, they will come to the customer’s location to do the work. What’s more, the warranty follows the VIN # of the coach, not the owner.

Being a small company can be a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, we have the ability to make improvements on the “fly”, keeping our product fresh and current. On the other, many of our ideas must be “phased in” because of our inability to use up inventory quickly, either on our floor or product dedicated to us at our vendors, thus causing many of our design ideas to not be implemented at the exact beginning of a model year.

Yesterday, Rand McNally introduced the RVND 7720, a new seven-inch RV GPS device with Wi-Fi connectivity allowing for real-time weather information and display, and new hardware with rugged casing, video input, and a brighter screen.
The new device – shipping now to stores, online retailers, and RV dealers and distributors – joins Rand McNally’s line of RVND GPS devices for RVers. Rand McNally pioneered RV-specific navigation by launching the first GPS device designed specifically for RVers and campers, states a press release from Rand McNally.
RV-specific navigation is necessary to route large vehicles and towables around road restrictions, low bridges and other physical hazards. However, like all Rand McNally RV GPS devices, the RVND 7720 can be used as a car GPS as well – merely by changing a simple setting.
