Jack Yenne, Customer Service Manager at Peterson Industries, encourages everyone to check your cooling/heating, refrigeration and LP systems before heading out for summer camping trips.
Obstructions around the cooling fan on the roof can bring your fun to a halt, so be sure a neighborhood bird family hasn’t nested in the wrong place. Also, check to be sure the cooling fins are not dented or plugged with foreign material. Dents can be combed out if they aren’t severe, and fins can be blown or washed out.
The same principle applies to your refrigerator and furnace. Bird and spider nests in and around the burner tubes keep the system from igniting or burning properly. And don’t forget the water system. Pump filters and faucet strainer screens need to be cleaned regularly.
A little maintenance goes a long way toward keeping you from dealing with problems when you should be enjoying the summer. If you haven’t already [...]
The 2014 spring Excel Club Rally was an amazingly fun time. We got to enjoy great food, spend time with excellent friends, and make new friends who were there with their Excel’s for the first time. From ice cream and pie socials to big meals and bingo, this was an event that will go down in the history books. Thank you all for attending, and we appreciate all of the extra attention that you gave to Ralph as he recovered from his surgery. See you at the next camp out if not sooner.

Being a small company can be a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, we have the ability to make improvements on the “fly”, keeping our product fresh and current. On the other, many of our ideas must be “phased in” because of our inability to use up inventory quickly, either on our floor or product dedicated to us at our vendors, thus causing many of our design ideas to not be implemented at the exact beginning of a model year.
Among the many improvements you will see in the 2013 models as they are phased in are:
- Taller Slide-outs. We have raised our slide rooms from 6′ to 6′ – 6″. What an improvement that made! Not only [...]
