2013 Spring Camp out

Directions from Albuquerque: South on Interstate 25 to Exit 83 go 3.7 miles on the right side of road.

Rates: $34.00 per night. same rate will apply if you wish to come early or stay late.
Please tell them you are with the Excel of N. M. please make your reservations as early as you can, a one night deposit will be taken.

Agenda: NOTE ALL EVENTS will take place in the Banquet Room of the Elephant Butte Inn across the road from the RV park.
Friday: the 26th 4:00 PM Registration
6:00 PM Finger foods with a CASINO NIGHT to follow. This will be a relaxed event run by our club. Each person will be given $50.00 in chips to gamble, if you wish, you may purchase more chips at $5.00 per $50.00 of chips (money will go toward covering cost of equipment that now belongs to the club.)

Saturday:             10:00 AM Regular meeting
5:30 PM Dinner buffet your cost $20.00 Per person($40.00 per couple) This will include, Dinner Rolls, Seasonal Salad, Vegetable Medley, Roast Beef AuJus, Roasted herb chicken Breast, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Feta Spinach Pasta, Rice Pilaf, and Chocolate Cake W/ Raspberry Coulee Sauce. Price Includes Tax, Gratuity and Beverage (Coffee, Iced or Hot Tea). There will be a pay as you go Bar, Next to the Banquet Room, If you wish something stronger.

Sunday Morning: the hotel puts on an all you can eat Breakfast Bar for $9.95 Plus Tax and Beverage (9:00 – 1:00) If you wish to eat breakfast out.

I have been in touch with Sal and the boys (guys who have been washing and waxing our Rigs in Las Cruses for several years) They have agreed to come down to T or C and provide the same services. The cost this year will be $6.00 per ft., this includes Roof, and slides. (example a 30′ Excel will cost $180.00) for a wash and wax. Trucks for a wash and spray wax will be $40.00. A total Detail job on a truck would be $120.00 (wash, wax carpet and upholstery). Other services are also available.

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

  1. Call R-V Resort 575-744-5996 to make your reservation as soon as you can.
  2. Call, e-mail or Text Joy and let me know if you are going, want your trailer or truck washed (need a count so Sal will have enough help to take care of everyone, schedule will be made by Sal on Friday morning.)
  3. Mail a check for $40.00 per couple or $20.00 each , made out to Excel Club of New Mexico, for your dinner reservation for Saturday night (the club will be picking up part of the cost of the meal, in order to keep cost down to $20.00 each.)
  4. I MUST HAVE A HEAD COUNT BY MARCH 21st, we can add until April 10th. We will hold your check until the camp out but must pay for the meals in advance.

Here is a list of things you may wish to do:
You can purchase a discount coupon for Riverbend Hot Springs from the Hotel for $8.00 Public pools and $13.00 for private pool to soak in their springs, but you will need to make your own reservations at: 575-894-7625 mention coupon.

The Ivory SPA is also available for a massage. A facial, Pedicure and much more
Web site is: www.elephantbutteinn.com. Reservations can be made in advance by calling the Inn at 575-744-5431. The SPA will call you back and set up an appointment, you can pick up a 10% of coupon for the SPA at the RV Resort Desk.

Geronimo Springs Museum, Hot Springs historical Museum, Elephant Butte Lake, Ghost Towns of Chloride and Winston. Spaceport America, Mining towns of Hillsboro and Kingston, Cabello and Percha State parks.

    This is going to be my first Excel Club campout. I am very excited about spending time with old friends and making new ones. Thanks to all of the Excel Club volunteers who are making this possible.
